horseys and the smells...

this is sure a once in a lifetime experience.. we get to go to Ballinasloe Horse Fair. it sounds very exciting don't it? especially when u hear that the horses comes from all over the world and the owners as well. also, that this is the biggest horse event in the world that anyone here can ever think of. and so.. we went..
it was crowded!! there were so many cars. and in order to avoid traffic, some of them even parked their cars quite a distance away from the fair and walked that loong distance to the fair.
the instant we were near the fair, u can SMELL the horses and i mean smell cos their dungs are everywhere (the same goes with the dogs in ireland. and the dogs poo are alot more than the ones we have in singapore. seems like they have better digestion than ours. hahaha) the horses and caravans (where the gypsies stay in) and the people are quite amazing. they are everywhere within sight and distance of the fair. will show the pics to u once i load them up. haha. :p elizabeth kinda regretted not wearing proper shoes cos the field was kinda muddy and she had to hold on to someone and walk real slowly so as not to fall or go shoeless. haha. no regrets going to the fair though, cos i won't be able to get that kinda experience anymore. ahaha.

the couple that we're staying with are so sweet. they take really gd care of us and care alot about us. stayed up late when we get home late, or even came to fetch us back home from work cos it was drizzling quite heavily and the rain is so so coold. and the wind... brrr.. (oh. i said drizzle cos the rain here are generally quite small and light.)
yesterday was the first time in my life that i encounter a fog. it was real misty and cold again. haha. that's cos it's nearing to winter. kinda dislike the cold weather cos i have to wear so many clothings. (it's now 1 shirt with either 1 or 2 sweaters and a rain coat. it's gonna be more as the day goes by.) I'm very free now cos my colleagues have nothing for me to do at the moment cos i'm pretty fast for them. (I didn't say this, they did. even liz's colleagues say that about her too.) oh oh oh. they're good to me too. will always get to eat chocolates almost once every week cos they love them. haha. ain't i fortunate. :p
let's talk abt dogs for now. the dogs here are dao. and i mean it. some of them just ignore u and walk away. so hurting. but there is this one. he should be a golden retriever. we played with him once and u know what? he followed to us from home to school twice! haha. and he came to find us during our tea break (oh. it's a law that they must give all working people breaks, before and after lunch time. cool isn't it. what the hell are the union in singapore doing man. hahaha) he wanted to follow us into the canteen and i kinda stopped him and the last i saw, he followed a china guy (i'm not being mean, cos the chinese u get here are all from china) into the school. hahaha. i've no idea what happen to the dog after. the irish are all animal lovers i think. cos when the doggie was following us to school, he dashed across the road for dozens of times and all the cars just slowed down to let him pass. (he made our hearts lurch though. :/)
time to go and say ciao.
happy mooncake festival!!!!!!!!!
