london here we come!

hahaha. i can't wait. liz and i are going to london!!! but we're only going for one and a half day cos we didn't know we are able to get extra days off. sianz.. but anyway, we're still very excited. haha. i'm thinking of getting a perfume there cos i think i left mine at home and it's making me uncomfortable sometimes when i can't smell fragrance on myself. haha. :p shall see how much it costs 1st though. haha. :p hmm.. and should we go clubbing there? heard it's quite pricey over there. :/

this past week has been quite happening (what with me having mood swing and taking it out on liz.. sorry abt that.. :/) this past few days i've been quite tired, starting to sleep later and getting up early and feeling quite shitty after that. haha.

ohh. want to thank my chinese friend, Han Tao, for the lovely dinner he made us on last Sat. hee. kinda pacify my cravngs for chinese food. but he held back on alot of the flavourings cos he thought we couldn't really take spices. but it was nice on the whole. hee.

actually, i feel that last week was the most memorable stay of all the weeks i've been here, cos mrs Dobbie's brother, Jim was here. he is really sharp, witty and mischievious for a 63 year old. he made liz and i laughed non-stop for quite a number of times. he's a very smart old man too. really enjoyed his company. hee. anyway, here's a photo of them all. oh oh oh. he's really into cars too. and he used to drive a 2.6l car. tsk tsk tsk. haha.

traumatised

haiz. guess what happened yesterday. we went to a small mountain called Slieve Bloom Way. It was lovely. (I have pictures, but not yet uploaded. so give me another day or two alright.) The numbers of christmas trees that are grown there.... amazing! it was lovely! haha. and we found out that there is a super big corporation that is somewhat like NTUC but bigger and sells more things than they do. they have petrol station, insurance deals, furnitures, online supermart, bookstores, flower shop, travel thingies, phones, broadbands, and many many many more! haha. had a very light dinner after that, soup and a glass of juice. after that i completed my 1st sudoku x. and it was then, that i realised, i had some animal's dung smeared on top of one of my shoe. so i cleaned it up. it was smelllllllllly!!!!!!!!!! then i went into my room to prepare for bed. the smell was still in the air, so, i went to check on my other side of the shoe. Boy was i lucky to do that becos i realised i had stepped on the animal's dung with that side of my bloody shoe! it was disgusting! argh!!! i panicked when it was to deep inside. and i had a brainstorm of using hot hot hot water to rinse it off. it didn;t work. so i used cold cold cold water and alternate between the both of them. managed to get most of it out. but there's stills some left. i was sitting on my bed talking to liz when i smelled the smell again. and i smelled my foot and eeeeeks!! the blooding smell has gone to my feeet! and i washed and washed and washed it away. boy was i traumatised!!! *sigh sigh sigh* i guess all of u out there must be laughing at me cos that's what liz did. *sigh once more*

handsomes....

ohhh.. yesterday was really a feast-for-my-eyes day. i saw the german guy i think is cute looking, another german that liz thought was cute but not really to me, (but his actions were very funny, especially the way he ate. he looked as if he just woke up and was in a big hurry or somerthing. hahaha.) a frenchie with a thin model bod looking very stylish with a cap (but sadly his face isn't that great), 2 guys which i have vague ideas as to where they came from (germany or france i think) one of them is liz's (federick) and the other is mine (cederick).. hahaha. kept seeing them. and i kinda think an irish guy is good-looking cos his face is always smiley.. very different from the others i've met. haha. oh.. and liz has a change of target, i think. haha. to the federick guy.
we met mrs dobbie (our home stay parents) brother, jim. he's a very funny man who loves to tease people and is a very clever man. liz and i enjoyed talking to him last night for about 3 hrs. really made me laugh.
on monday, i was talking to my boss and the subject of food came up. and guess what we talked about. one of my favourites, roti prata!!! man did he make me crave for that man! thinking of trying to make them here. hopefully it works out just fine.. haha.

alrighty! i've finally have my photos uploaded. so u guys can go take a look. there's too many to be posted up here. so i've created photo albums at http://faithty.myphotoalbum.com. haha. so u guys can look at it all u wan. and be envoius of me. *just joking*
haha. saturday was really a shopping day. spent the day shopping for souvenirs and bought some things for meself. haha. we had a lovely dinner at a hotel which was really nice.
at the entrance of the hotel, Sean (the pastor who helped us find accomodation for us) knelt on his knee and presented his wife (Margaret) with a wild flower. it was soooo sweet! how i wish i'll be that fortunate to have a husband who's like him... *envious envious*
the weather has changed again. and apparently the weather foreman said that today will be the start of a rainy and cold cold autumn. haha. wish liz and me all the best man.
we thought we'll be able to go partying on sat as the hosts and her brother are going to visit their kids up in another county and we though they'll be staying overnight. BUT to our dismay, they're returning on the same day. bummer.

enjoy the photos.

another week has passed

another week is going and i'm kinda sad. cos we didn't get to go to the international party on thur. liz decided to go too late and i was feeling neither like gg nor staying at home. and slp got in the way. haha. i heard from our friend that it was a nice party. alot of international students turned up. i wonder if my german cute guy is there or not. i heard from elizabeth that he's quite old. 25 yrs old. but not too old for me though. hahaha. blargh. liz is sad that she cant see her frenchie. it has been 6 days and counting and counting for her. hope she sees him to cheer him up! haha. right liz?
anyway, i heard about the haze in singapore that it was quite bad. i hope that all is fine and that none of u have caught more serious sickness other than sore throat and flu. *luckily liz and i aren't in singapore. hahaha*
cant wait to go to another county for shopping. to look around and look at guys. hahaha. hopefull there are nice ones to look at. and hopefully liz and i will be able to come across a nice and cheap rain/winter coat there. and.. that she will be able to buy a pair of nice nice boots. haa.
well. our week has been quite tortured by a small little domestic animal. a small gray mouse. liz saw it in the morning on wed morning. and she screamed and she woke me up of my sleepiness, in a way. hahaha. i caught a glimpse of it when i was trying to find where it is. *i'm not trying to be brave. but one of us has to! :\* i pray to god that it has already gone to its own nest and stop appearing in front of us and in our life, nibbling on our clothes and all!!!
time to sign off now. ciao ciao *that's what alot of the irish like to say. very snobbish-like isn't it? hahaha*

weekends = shopping time!

hahaha. i've already spent €300 which is S$600 in just 3 weeks here. i'm so dead. but. but. but. almost half the money was spent on calling back home. it's so bloody expensive! they have so many little little things like gloves and boots that are so so pretty that i cant help it but buy them. this weekend i'm going down to another city to look around cos the pastor and his wife are going there for a conference. haha. so it means it's shopping time for us again! yey! (but have to look out for the hole that is forming in my pocket. :( )
i really feel blessed that i have so many good and caring hosts to bring liz and i around Ireland. it's really touching. so i was thinking of cooking some singaporean dishes for them. simple ones alright. and hopefully none of us get tummy-aches. hahaha.
now. to complain about my dear partner in crime. she has started me speaking hokkien vulgarities again. and she can't seem to stop doing that. she has to say "blue bird" and "700" almost everyday. it gets unnerving. but she just says it for fun. right liz? hahaha.
for today, i've known about 10 spanish guys and gals during lunch cos was saying hi to one of our friends that went with us to Dublin. haha. they're english are atrocious. but they're all funny and easy-going people. and some of them know about singapore too! haha. and we've been invited to the international party on coming thursday. still thinking whether to go or not cos we've got work on fri morning. hmmm.
i saw my german guy today. i wanted to smile to him but he glanced away and i can't do that. darn! hahaha. shall try that tomorrow. hopes he will be at the party on thursday though.

p.s. the photos are gonna be put up soon. so wait patiently yeah? hahaha.

fireworks

haha. please don't get mistaken. the fireworks i'm talking about are those that u see in the sky with sulfuric thingy and all. it's gonna be at 10.30pm at night though, but most probably it'll start at 11pm. this is so way behind my bed time (i know it sounds ridiculous. but i sleep real early here. by 9pm i start to get tired. :/ this is gd cos then i won't be thinking so much about clubbing and all. :p) i hope it's as grand as the one in singapore or grander! haha.
tomorrow will be a shopping day! haha. elizabeth and i intend to shop to our hearts content in town for the whole afternoon and the early part of the evening. haha. hopefully i'll be able to get some clothings and that it'll STOP drizzling for tomorrow cos it'll really spoil my day when that happens.
u know what. i know a guy here that reminds me very much of kexin. he loves to loiter in school and gets the attention of the tutors. and he looks so arrogant with the "i-know-so-many-tutors" face. (ok. this is not one of kexin's characteristics.) he's basically a guy who is not likable by the students but the tutors. u get what i mean? hopefully... ha...
guess what. i saw a guy that's quite good looking. he's a german. age 25. kinda small face for his tall and broad body. but he's quite boyish looking. i'll give his height at abt 180cm or more. he has an unreadable name though. and to top it off, i see him almost everyday single day in school. hahaha. ok. i know so much cos bethie works in the international department and she's the one who pass me all these information. (Sorry elizabeth. i have so many names for u. hahaha. :p)
by the way, for those who know elizabeth. she is now very very into a frenchie name nessim (i'm not sure of the spelling. forgive me liz.) he's born in 1986. he is a tiny bit geekish and blur. he's quite short. i'll give him 170cm at the most. he wears specs some times and i personally feel that he's better with it on. haha. when he smiled at liz once, she was like "OMG OMG. he smiled at me" and she smiled non-stop for a long long while.
shall keep u guys updated soon.
p.s. u peeps can always write comments if u want to alright. cos then i can "hear" u guys. haha.

horseys and the smells...

this is sure a once in a lifetime experience.. we get to go to Ballinasloe Horse Fair. it sounds very exciting don't it? especially when u hear that the horses comes from all over the world and the owners as well. also, that this is the biggest horse event in the world that anyone here can ever think of. and so.. we went..
it was crowded!! there were so many cars. and in order to avoid traffic, some of them even parked their cars quite a distance away from the fair and walked that loong distance to the fair.
the instant we were near the fair, u can SMELL the horses and i mean smell cos their dungs are everywhere (the same goes with the dogs in ireland. and the dogs poo are alot more than the ones we have in singapore. seems like they have better digestion than ours. hahaha) the horses and caravans (where the gypsies stay in) and the people are quite amazing. they are everywhere within sight and distance of the fair. will show the pics to u once i load them up. haha. :p elizabeth kinda regretted not wearing proper shoes cos the field was kinda muddy and she had to hold on to someone and walk real slowly so as not to fall or go shoeless. haha. no regrets going to the fair though, cos i won't be able to get that kinda experience anymore. ahaha.

the couple that we're staying with are so sweet. they take really gd care of us and care alot about us. stayed up late when we get home late, or even came to fetch us back home from work cos it was drizzling quite heavily and the rain is so so coold. and the wind... brrr.. (oh. i said drizzle cos the rain here are generally quite small and light.)
yesterday was the first time in my life that i encounter a fog. it was real misty and cold again. haha. that's cos it's nearing to winter. kinda dislike the cold weather cos i have to wear so many clothings. (it's now 1 shirt with either 1 or 2 sweaters and a rain coat. it's gonna be more as the day goes by.) I'm very free now cos my colleagues have nothing for me to do at the moment cos i'm pretty fast for them. (I didn't say this, they did. even liz's colleagues say that about her too.) oh oh oh. they're good to me too. will always get to eat chocolates almost once every week cos they love them. haha. ain't i fortunate. :p
let's talk abt dogs for now. the dogs here are dao. and i mean it. some of them just ignore u and walk away. so hurting. but there is this one. he should be a golden retriever. we played with him once and u know what? he followed to us from home to school twice! haha. and he came to find us during our tea break (oh. it's a law that they must give all working people breaks, before and after lunch time. cool isn't it. what the hell are the union in singapore doing man. hahaha) he wanted to follow us into the canteen and i kinda stopped him and the last i saw, he followed a china guy (i'm not being mean, cos the chinese u get here are all from china) into the school. hahaha. i've no idea what happen to the dog after. the irish are all animal lovers i think. cos when the doggie was following us to school, he dashed across the road for dozens of times and all the cars just slowed down to let him pass. (he made our hearts lurch though. :/)
time to go and say ciao.
happy mooncake festival!!!!!!!!!
