4 more days to touching down!!!

my gosh. time really flies. i'm starting to miss this place and the people that i've met. all of whom are so nice to us and very helpful as well. and all the international friends that we've met! they are like from all over the world. haha. frenchies, spanishs, italians, chinese, turkishs, bolivian, hungarians, bulgarians, lithuanians, etc etc etc. hahaha. but i've no idea if i'm going to keep in contact with them becos, firstly, i'm not big on contacting people and i'm getting more and more reclusive; secondly, i don't really like talking online with people becos i'll get lazy to write back to people unless i'm bored. :/ (i know this is bad. i'll try to change.) but then again, i'll definitely try to keep in contact with the ones that i know better.
we finally went to the clubs here. it's not very very great but the people sure make a difference. the 1st one we went to was an international society party. we had alot of fun! and though the crowd has only like 50 - 70 people but everyone was having a good time. most of us were on the dance floor grooving to the music. it was really fun! everyone was spontaneous too! haha. and they really dance. and u can really see that the europeans especially are party people. they can drink and they can dance. haha. will miss them alot. oh... i will definitely miss the handsome dudes and pretty girls here. to imagine that i can't see them in TP... *sigh* i have to go back to reality! hahaha..some of the irish students are actually very friendly. we met one irish guy, kevin, a friend of our friends, at her house. he is so funny. and he looks like homer simpson. oh oh oh. and becos he's lazy to cook, he always order in pizza, almost every single day! can u imagine? pizza everyday? even me, an ultimate pizza lover doesn't eat as much man! hahaha. but he's a very sweet guys. and guess what. liz and i had 3 handsome guys from different countries sent us home. hahaha. they're from turkey, ireland and tunisia. how cool can it get. and all of them are good-looking. hahaha. but most of them are younger than i am i guess.
hahaha.
we'll be going to club tonight. tomorrow i hope we're staying in to pack our luggages IF we want to go for a trip to sligo, another town/county i'm not sure, on saturday......... so.. wish us luck! :p

the 3rd last wk in ireland

the weekend was great! we were fed til we were like super bloated. and i had to take indigestion pills (po chi yi) but it didn't really work.. haha. we had egg, toast and tea for breakfast.

after that, we took a train to Tullamore (another town) to visit both our supervisors (they're a couple, isn't it handy? hee.) micheal, my supervisor, house was big! the garden was big too! it was a beautiful house. he has a dog, Jack, of 4 yrs old too! boy, is he hyper!! we had tea when we reached, a piece of hazelnut cake (all the way from France) and a cup of tea/coffee. we went out to a sculpture park and Jack just ran and ran and went into the icy cold river just to get himself wet and looked after celine's (liz supervisor) adorable sons, Matthias

(6 yrs old) and Nathaniel (4 yrs old). Nathaniel's a very talkative boy who is in awe of the phone camera that i had. and just kept snapping pictures away! for lunch we went to Tullamore Dew Whiskey Museum. i had panini sandwich, salad and fries (they are lovely!). oh oh. we had a few sips of cider, guiness and a shot of whiskey. (i had my "fainting" episode of sort again. :/ but it passed very quickly. :) ) hahaha. liz was dizzy for quite awhile.

after that we went to window shop at some stores. didn't buy anything though. hee. we went home to have dinner. we had spaghetti. boy were we filled to our brim!!

the next morning, we had full irish breakfast. fried sausages, fried potato-mixed-with-flour, tomato, pancake, fried egg, toast, bacons and some mushrooms. it was delicious!! but damn sinful, what with the oiiiiil. eeeeekssss. hahaha. and for dinner..... we had laksa!! it's from prima taste. it tastes more of the heh bee hiam than the katong laksa. but it wasn't half bad. and for dessert, we had warm rhubarb (a very common fruit in ireland. it's very tart and bitter without any sugar in it.) with custard cream. it was yummmy... hahaha.

guess what. we had an irish night out. not drinking, mind u. but watching an irish concert consisting of dancing (riverdance kinda dancing) and singing and instrumental playing. the kids who had only 2 months of practice together was very good! all of them played with great enthusiasm and they all have great memory. think some of them are only 5 yrs old at the least. there were other groups of players too. they are all very good too. really enjoyed the night. a great experience too!

haha. okok. i'm really counting down to go back to singapore and enjoy the hot weather (but i'm sure i'll complain non-stop about it and the stupid rain, thunder and lightning. :p) tomorrow we'll be going to liz and my supervisors' (they're a couple. mine's a guy and liz's a woman) house for lunch and to see liz's supervisor's two sons. the sons seems to be very cute in the photos that she puts up in her office. will try to get some shots of them. :D
the weather's getting sucky again. :( rain and dreary and gloomy and cold and windy. arghhh. my hands are cold 24 hrs a day. and i'm now wearing 2 pullovers and a shirt and a tank top. :/ sounds exaggerating?? it isn't.. haha. but kinda sad that we won't be able to see snow though. haha. well. it's either the cold cold weather or the rainy and humid weather.

another week closer to going home...

yay!! we're going home soon. i know that some of u won't believe i'll be so happy to go home (at least my sis didn't think so. :p) But i really miss Singapore. miss my family and friends most importantly. miss the food. oh my char kwey tiao. hor fun. mee robus. hokkien mee. dou hua! heh mee. mee pok dah. Rojak! my grandma's cookings! mos burger! oh man.. thinking of those food made me feel hungry and greedy for them! to top it off. i think i've put on weight. haha. slightly. but still some. :p i can't imagine when i go back to singapore. i think i will balloon up man, what with all the good food that we have. hahaha.

BUT! over here, they have something that we don't have. Domino's pizza!!! we finally had it last week and it was FANTASTIC! starting to miss it now. haha. cos we won't have the chance of tasting it anytime soon now. hahaha.

as for the weather. it's kinda getting chillier. more windy. but less rain. thank god for that! :D it's now abt 8 degree celcius to 11 degree celcius. it's raining soon and it's going to take our mood away. :(

let's talk abt london again. :p

haha. i'm gonna talk abt london again cos i didnt talk much in details. haha. let's talk abt the tube. it's clean but small and doesnt have a flat standing area for u, it's sorta like curved. haha. but it's still alright. the most amazing thing is, they have vending machines inside their station. it's so coool. isn't it? haha. but it's very dirty, in the sense that the fumes are black and at the end of the day, your face will be covered with the black soots. okok. i'm exaggerating. more like when u wipe your face with a tissue, it comes off as black. more terrible than singapore's. and it's kinda complicating, their train tracks cos there are so so many of them. but u get used to it. hahaha. oh oh oh, when u're on the escalator, they have the stand to your right thingy too. haha. and 99% of them follows this rule. haha.
the streets in london are PACKED with people. it's just so crowded. it's like everyone and anyone is there shopping or having meals. we were really lucky that those 2 days we were there was a sunny day. if not, i have no idea what we'll do. haha.
i'm kinda disappointed that we didn't get to sit on the london bus tour (our hippo tour) and the london eye and the big big ferris wheel. and also the buckingham palace. and madame tussaud's. and alot more places that i can't think of at the moment. hahaha.

home

well. i guess it's the weather and also because of time that i'm missing home so much now. and also because we have limited people to talk to and all we do at night is usually stay at home and sleep cos it's too freaking cold to go out in the night. and come to think of it, i'm not really interested in going out these days. no idea why. maybe cos it's tooooo cold. hahaha.
yesterday was the mtv europe awards. it's very very entertaining. learnt alot of new artists and their faces. hahaha. (those who know me should know i either know their name or their faces only.)

london london

oh was it fun there! the people there are like, wow! their dressing is so gorgeous.. and most of them dress so well. there are more good-looking guys out there too. haha. the train tickets are still quite old fashion, somewhat like our previous bus card, but it seems like they're promoting smartcards like our ezlink. haha. the shopping area are so wonderful and so convenient. all u have to do is just walk round the whole area of the district and u can go back to point A. hahaha. its so convenient. the their tube is actuslly very clean. not at all dirty and smelly as i thought it would be. i swear i'm going there again. hahaha. really regretted not staying there for another day or 2. i really really really regret not flying over cos it's so much more faster and convenient and not so hard on us if we did that. but nonetheless, it's done. haha. but there won't be another time!

and and and. there were so so many musicals going on. and i would killl to watch it but there wasn't time for that at all. *sigh sigh sigh* the shopping there as well, the things are so pretty and chic. BUT when it's being converted to SGD, it's not cheap at all. :( haha. so i really really wanna come over when i finish working for a year or 2. hahaha. *hint hint to u gals, ting wen and joy. so we can have free accomodation paid by zhan. hahahaha* :p

ohhh.. but boy do i miss home. after seeing zhan, my cousin (whom i've not seen for like 3 yrs or more), i was soooo happy to see him! hahaha. he finally bear to cut his hair after sooo many years of having hair like ah du. hahaha. he looks handsome too. (kk. i'm bias cos i've not seen him for so long) but he's grown abit old. more wrinkles now. hahaha. i thought he had grown fat after living in london for so long and what with his wife feeding him supper every night. hahaha. well. when he was sending liz and i off in the bus station i teared. cos couldn't bear to leave him in a way cos i've no idea when i'll see him again. *sigh* and that idiot can't bear to take off for 1 2 months to go back asia in fear of losing his job. *sigh again* BUT. i'll never forget the time we spent together in london. hahaha. ;)
